The Death Registration indicates that she was married to Thomas Porteus, Post Horse Hirer, that she was 65 years old and that her parents were James Cumming and Isabella Clement (both deceased). She died of chronic nephritis for several years. The informant was Elizabeth Cumming, her sister.¹ She was buried in August 1902 at in Sorbie Kirkyard, Sorbie Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland;

He married Eleanor (Ellen) McCulloch on 4 April 1860 at Sorbie Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland.¹ Alexander died 26 March 1901 at Knockencurr, Kirkinner Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland. The Death Registration states that Alexander was a farmer and married to Helen McCulloch. He was 70 years old and his parents were James Cumming, farmer (deceased) and Issabella McClymont (deceased). He died of apoplexy - 10 days and the informant was Alex Cumming, his son.² He was buried in March 1901 at in Sorbie Kirkyard, Sorbie Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland.
