Bertha Simonett, 100, of Mankato, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Hillcrest Health Care Center. Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Landkamer Johnson Boman Funeral Home, and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by daughters, Jean Bauer of Mankato and Maxine Herzog and her husband Jerald of New Ulm; son Tom and his wife Vicky of St. Louis Park; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clem in 1964; and brother Ed.

She was born Feb. 24, 1901, in Montgomery, to George and Clara (Eisert) Brunner. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1919 and as a registered nurse in 1922 from Hillcrest Surgical Hospital, Minneapolis. She married Clement Simonett on April 18, 1928, in LeSueur. She belonged to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the American Legion, Lorentz Unit 11.

She was buried on 6 December 2001 at in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, USA.²
     She graduated from Hillcrest Surgical Hospital at Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA, in 1922as a registered nurse.

     He married Clara Eisert.
