Martha B. Stilley of Mundelein. The funeral service for Martha B. Stilley (nee Zersen), 95, will be held at 10 a.m Wednesday, at the Kristan Funeral Home, P.C. 219 W. Maple Ave. (two blocks west of Route 45 on Route 176), Mundelein. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Born April 4, 1911, in Mundelein, she died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at the Winchester House. Incomplete. DAILY HERALD - Arlington Heights.

     Nadyne was born on 22 December 1921 at Nebraska, USA.¹ She was the daughter of Gilbert Henry Zersen and Mary E. Cooper. She married Jack C. Lefebvre in December 1944. She married Herbert E. Reich on 7 February 1966 at Clark County, Nevada, USA. Nadyne died 22 April 1988 at Orange County, California, USA, at age 66.¹

     Nicole was born on 24 September 1985 at Harris County, Texas, USA. She is the daughter of Matthew Dale Zersen and Mary Elizabeth Hohmann.

     Olivia was born on 30 December 2004 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. She is the daughter of Rolf Michael Zersen and Leslie Ann Verthein.

     Otto was born on 14 March 1892 at Area, Illinois, USA.¹ He was the son of Heinrich (Henry) Carl Zersen and Mathilda Dorothy (Emma) Fischer. He married Violet Faye Buker. Otto died April 1978 at Julesburg, Sedgwick County, Colorado, USA, at age 86.²

He was a according to the 1930 U.S. Census, a grain elevator manager in 1930 at Julesburg, Sedgwick County, Colorado, USA.

     Ottomar was born on 19 May 1908 at Itasca, DuPage County, Illinois, USA. He was the son of Rev. Frederick William Zersen and Katherine Maria Sophia Kirchhoff. Ottomar died 3 June 1923 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, at age 15.

     Patricia was born on 15 June 1932. She is the daughter of Edward William Zersen and Mona L. Desmond. She married Sam Burks.

     Phyllis was born on 10 August 1921 at Brule, Keith County, Nebraska, USA. She was the daughter of Otto Fred (Joe) Zersen and Violet Faye Buker. Phyllis died April 1982 at age 60.

     Robert was born on 28 November 1930 at Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA. He was the son of Gilbert Henry Zersen and Mary E. Cooper. He married Marlene Lehmkuhler on 10 March 1956 at Sidney, Cheyenne County, Nebraska, USA.

Robert H. Zersen, 77, of Doniphan died Friday, March 21, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Doniphan United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joselyn Tupper will officiate. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island.

Mr. Zersen was born Nov. 28, 1930, at Omaha to Gilbert and Mary Zersen.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Marlene, and three sons and two daughters-in-law, Wade and Holly Zersen of Grand Island, Matt and Mary Zersen and Scott Zersen, all of Houston.

Other survivors are grandchildren, Kelly, Nicole, Tim and Bobby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nadyne Reich.

Bob was raised in Gresham and moved to California, where he graduated from high school. He attended junior college in California.

He enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Marlene Lehmkuhler on March 10, 1956, at Sidney. They lived in California until deciding to have children and moved back to Nebraska "The Good Life" to raise their family.

They farmed near Doniphan and he retired in 1995. Bob was devoted to his family and community. He worked hard, played hard and had a passion for unique and fast cars. He had a great love for the veterans and the American Legion. He is a member of the Doniphan American Legion Post 300, he served as past State Commander for the American Legion, eight years with the National Executive Committee for the American Legion, member of Sons of American Legion, 40 & 8 American Legion, Eagles, Platt-Duetsche and was a volunteer at the Grand Island Veterans Home.

A memorial fund will be established in memory of Robert.

Robert died 21 March 2008 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, USA, at age 77.

     Robert James Zersen received his Eagle Scout Award on 30 May 2007 at Boy Scout Troop 870, Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA.

     Rolf was born on 23 January 1973 at Woodstock, McHenry County, Illinois, USA. He is the son of David John Zersen and Julia Rose Jane Schmid. Rolf Michael Zersen married Leslie Ann Verthein circa September 2003.
     Rolf Michael Zersen was the head womens soceer coach in 2008 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA.

     Rudolph was born on 18 November 1916 at Itasca, DuPage County, Illinois, USA. He was the son of Rev. Frederick William Zersen and Katherine Maria Sophia Kirchhoff. He married Viola Margaret Thiesse. Rudolph died 1 May 1971 at Lombard, DuPage County, Illinois, USA, at age 54.¹ He was buried in May 1971 at in Saint Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Itaska, DuPage County, Illinois, USA.

     Ruth Zersen married Harvey Brown. Ruth was born on 21 March 1934 at Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. She is the daughter of Rev. William L. Zersen and Ruth Michael.

     Scott was born in 1962. He is the son of Arthur F. Zersen and Joann Heuer. Scott Frederick Zersen married Mary Kay Morris on 14 May 1988 at Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA.

     Scott was born on 1 March 1963 at Orange County, California, USA.¹ He is the son of Robert H. (Bud) Zersen and Marlene Lehmkuhler.

     Sharon was born on 26 May 1945. She is the daughter of William T. Zersen and Helene M. Ming. She married Lee Ketterhagen circa 1975.

     Sophie was born on 21 May 1821 at Haddessen, Niedersachsen, Germany. She was the daughter of Georg Frederich (Friedrich Wilhelm) Zersen and Charlotte Priesmeyer.

     Sylvia was born on 23 May 1949. She is the daughter of Rudolph L. Zersen and Viola Margaret Thiesse. She married Jerome Maculaitis.

     Theodore was born on 17 July 1878 at Illinois, USA. He was the son of Carl Ludwig (Charley) Zersen and Johanna (Hanna) Dorothea Klausing. He married Dorothea (Dora) Elizabeth Gehrke on 11 October 1903 at Illinois, USA. Theodore died 6 October 1972 at Mundelein, Lake County, Illinois, USA, at age 94.

     Timothy was born on 25 July 1987 at Harris County, Texas, USA. He is the son of Matthew Dale Zersen and Mary Elizabeth Hohmann.

     Todd was born on 14 January 1967. He is the son of Col. William Frederick Hugo Zersen and Judith Lewis.

     Tracie was born on 21 September 1982 at Lindenhurst, Lake County, Illinois, USA. She is the daughter of Gerald (Jerry) Zersen and Sherrie (Unknown Surname).
     She graduated from Illinois State University at Normal, McClean County, Illinois, USA, in 2008. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education, Certificate in Elementary Education with Endorsements in Language Arts, Social Sciences and Middle School. She earned the Summa Cum Laude distinction.

     Violet was born circa 1927 at Illinois, USA. She is the daughter of Edward William Zersen and Violet (Unknown Surname). She married John Aldermann.

     Wade Robert Zersen DDS is the son of Robert H. (Bud) Zersen and Marlene Lehmkuhler. Wade Robert Zersen DDS married Holly (Unknown Surname).

     Wilhelm was born in 1863. He was the son of Carl Ludwig (Charley) Zersen and Johanna (Hanna) Dorothea Klausing. He married Emma S. Kropp. Wilhelm died 1938.
