ObituaryOctober 2011Obituary for Kevin Burks

Entered into rest far to early on October 11, 2011 at the age of 51.

Kevin is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia L. Burks and his grandparents Mona and Ed Zersen and Samuel and Marie Burks, Sr. He is survived by his loving and much loved daughters, Jennifer Liddicote and Melissa Burks along with son - in -law Clint Liddicote and three greatchildren, Bailey, Mackenzie and Jacob Liddicote. Kevin is also survived by his father Samuel Burks, Jr, brothers Dustin Burks, Barry Burks and brother-in-law John Welsch.

Kevin was born, raised and spent his life in Sacramento. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1978. He had a love for life and nothing seemed to get him down for too long or get the best of him. He always picked himself up, dusted himself off and started all over again. If asked what his greatest joy and accomplishment were, there wouldn't be any hesitation. It was his two daughters, Jennifer and Melissa. They were his pride, joy, love and life. Not only will Kevin be missed by those mentioned above, but by other family members, friends and co-workers. Until we see you again, rest in peace and remember we love you! A celebretion of Kevins Life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery on Monday, October 24, 2011. A private burial will be held for familly only to follow.
Burial24 October 2011He was buried on 24 October 2011 at Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, United States.

Grace L. Jewison, age 92 of rural Janesville, died on Friday, July 13, 2012 at her home in Janesville Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 19th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville with Fr. Matthew Fasnacht, Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, and will continue on Thursday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Memorials preferred to the Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Janesville, or donors choice.

Grace Louise was born November 29, 1919 in Cleveland Township, LeSueur County, Minnesota to Nicholas and Margaret (Simonett) Burns. Grace graduated from Cleveland High School in 1937. On June 27, 1945 she was united in marriage to Clarence Edmund Jewison at Nativity Catholic Church in Cleveland. Grace and Clarence raised their family on their Janesville Township farm north of Janesville.

Grace had a love for family and friends, especially the coffee group. Her interests were gardening, working with the animals on the farm, and her love of reading which she passed down to all the children and grandchildren. She was a longtime, faithful member of St. Ann Catholic Church and her church circle. Grace volunteered with the local school's PTA, Okaman Workers 4-H youth club, and Meals on Wheels. She always encouraged her children to be persistent and to enjoy life. She will be dearly missed!

She is survived by her children, Ward Jewison of Minneapolis, Mary (Brandt) Pfeiffer of Minneapolis, Bryan Jewison of Janesville, Lynn (Leah) Jewison of Elysian, and Eileen (Mark) Varner of New Carrolton, MD; by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence in 1978, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
