Otto Smid Jr., 83, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born June 11, 1922, in Castlewood, S.D., he was the son of the late Otto and Ricka Mary Saathoff Smid.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He had been employed by Potomac Highland Support Services.
He is survived by two daughters and four grandchildren in Isanti, Minn., and his close friend, Patricia Collis of Martinsburg.
Services and burial are private. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
