     Henry was born on 25 January 1844 at Luxembourg. He was the son of Heinrick (Henry) Neuens and Magdalena Schuller. He married Mary Anne Landgraf in 1870 at Sheboygan, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, USA. Henry died 12 August 1921 at Marion County, Oregon, USA, at age 77. H.J. Neuens Passes Away From Stroke

Henry J. Neuens passed away at the family residence, 436 park Avenue at ??? yesterday afternoon, death resulting from a stroke of paralysis.

He worked at his office all day Thursday, but when he returned home at the usual hour, he complained of a headache.

Later a physician was summoned and there was evidence of a slight stroke. As the night wore on he became unconscious and remained in that state until he passed away.

The death of Henry J. Neuens will come as a shock to a large number of friends in this city and throughout this county.

He suffered an attack of influenza when the epidemic was raging here and never was a well man again, though he recovered and was actively engaged in business. He had aged in the last several months, and his most intimate friends were aware that he was not as vigorous as in the days before his illness.

Mr. Neuens was born at Port Washington, June 23, 1858 where he attended public school until he was eighteen years of age when he entered the Spencerian Business College at Milwaukee from which he graduated in 1882. Following the completion of his studies he came to Sheboygan and was actively engaged as a bookkeeper for a time. Later he went on the road as a traveling salesman for the Phoenix Chair Co. Gradually he became interested in the real estate business, and during his many years in that field of work had built up a large clientage. He always had at heart the welfare of Sheboygan, and played an important part in its development.

June 26th, 1886, he was married to Miss Alexia Riedel of Milwaukee, and in 1891 he erected a handsome home at 436 Park Avenue.

Besides being a member of the Sheboygan Business Men's Association, of which he had served as treasurer, he was a member of the B.P.O.E, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, Catholic Order of the Foresters, Concordia and the Turnverein.

No man in Sheboygan county was better known or more highly esteemed and news of his sudden death will come as a shock to the business world. The Press joins in extending sympathy to the surviving widow and relatives.

He is survived by a widow, three sisters, Mrs. N.J. Diederich, Milwaukee, Mrs, M. Pastorett, Miss Louisa Neuens, Port Washington and Fred Neuens, Milwaukee. The funeral services will be held from the Holy Name church and internment will take place in Milwaukee.
He was buried in August 1920 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA.

Claimants Against Neuens Estate Will Get 3.9 Pct.

General claimants of the Henry Neuens estate will receive only 3.9 per cent of their claims, it has finally been decided after much delving into the financial affairs of the late Mr. Neuens.

Sheboygan was startled four years ago when it was discovered that Mr. Neuens died leaving an estate of approximately $6,000, with which to settle claims amounting to $70,839.

Forged Names on Mortgages

Mr. Neuens died on August 27, 1920. The first intimation of his illegal and fraudulent operations came to the attention of Registrar of Deeds Edwin Koellmer soon after the death of Mr. Neuens when a mortgage tendered to George Detling and detected as a forgery was brought to the court house.

Further investigation led to the discovery of other fraudulent deals in which Mr. Neuens simply forged the names, and it was not difficult to discover the frauds and forgeries when they were put to the legal test.

Josephine died 4 September 1982 at Minnesota, USA, at age 96. She was buried in September 1982 at Bluffton, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, USA.

     Julius was born on 18 December 1874 at Minnesota, USA. He was the son of Peter Neuens and Mary Octavia Quinette (Kinné). Julius died 10 October 1883 on the Neuens family farm, Verndale, Wadena County, Minnesota, USA at age 8 of diphtheria. He was buried in October 1883 on the Neuens family farm Verndale, Wadena County, Minnesota, USA.

     Louisa was born in 1859 at Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. She was the daughter of John (Johann) Neuens and Margaret (Margaretha) Seil (Sail).

     Nicholas was born on 18 December 1834 at Luxembourg. He was the son of Heinrick (Henry) Neuens and Magdalena Schuller. He married Maria (Mary) Schumacher circa 1858 at Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. Nicholas died 16 January 1924 at Lexington, Dawson County, Nebraska, USA, at age 89.
     Nicholas immigrated to America in 1853. He was a cooper in 1860 at Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. He was a saloon keeper in 1870 at Fredonia, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA.

     Peter was born in November 1838 at Luxembourg. He was the son of Heinrick (Henry) Neuens and Magdalena Schuller. He married Mary Octavia Quinette (Kinné) on 22 November 1866 at Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. Peter died 8 March 1923 at Grey Eagle, Todd County, Minnesota, USA, at age 84 at the home of his son Fred.¹ He was buried in March 1923 at in Lakeview Cemetery, Grey Eagle, Todd County, Minnesota, USA.
     Peter immigrated to America in 1853. In 1883, while living on the farm in Verndale, Minnesota, survived a diphtheria epidemic, but three children died: Matilda 12 years on Oct 2, 1883, Julius Henry - 9 years on Oct. 10, 1883, and Franklin age 6 years on Oct 20, 1883.      Peter was born on 7 September 1884 at Minnesota, USA. (Per World War I Draft Registration Card). He was the son of Peter Neuens and Mary Octavia Quinette (Kinné). Peter died 7 July 1948 at Bakersfield, Kern County, California, USA, at age 63.¹

     Reba was born circa 1907 at Dawson County, Nebraska, USA. She was the daughter of William John Neuens and Nora S. (Unknown Surname).

     Robert was born on 24 November 1880 at Fredonia, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA. He was the son of Nicholas (Nick) Neuens and Maria (Mary) Schumacher. He married Bertha Elizabeth Helsley circa 1905. Robert died 31 December 1958 at Saint Clairsville, Belmont County, Ohio, USA, at age 78.
     He was a street car conductor in 1910 at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, USA. He registered for World War I military service on 12 September 1918 at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, USA.¹
