Adolph died 8 June 1948 at Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA, at age 71 of a heart attack.

Funeral services for Adolph J. Neuens, 71, former businessman of Port Washington will be held at 2:30 PM Friday at the Horn Funeral Home there where the Rev. Anthony Gundrum of St. Mary's Catholic church will officiate at the last rights. Internment will be made in the old St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Neuens was born April 8, 1877, in Port Washington, where he has since lived. On Aug 23, 1908, he was married there to Lucy Godersky. They operated the Neuens Confectionary at various locations in Port Washington for many years, retiring years ago.

He died Tuesday morning at his home following a heart attack. He had been in ill health for a short time. The only survivor is his wife.

Friends may call Horn chapel until the time of the services.
He was buried on 11 June 1948 at in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, USA.

Anna died 24 May 1910 at Homestead, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, USA, at age 76.1 She was buried on 26 May 1910 at in Saint Henry's Catholic Cemetery, Perham, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, USA.

In a letter dated 11 May 1974 from Myrtle Welter Washburn to Rebecca Fixsen, she states "I do not know my grandmothers maiden name but you could ask Charlotte Swartz about that as her grandfather on her mothers side and my grandmother on my dad's side were brother and sister." Based on this information it was determined that the two people she was referring to were Anna Neuens, wife of Nic Welter and Anna's brother, Peter Neuens who was married to Octavia Quinette whose daughter was Charlotte Neuens.
