Joseph was married three times. In 1863 he was united in marriage to Alice Cadott, at Chippewa Falls, Chippewa Co., Wis. She died in Jan., 1885, on the Lac Court Oreilles Indian Reservation, at Reserve, Sawyer Co., Wis. Their known children were: Michael, b. 15 Oct 1880 & Edward, b. 4 Jul 1884.

In about 1890, Joseph married Mrs. Angeline La Grew, who died June 20, 1897, at Turtle Lake, Barron Co., Wis. Their known children were: Maggie, b. 15 Feb 1891 & John, b. 10 Aug 1893, died in 1909.

On May 21, 1898, Joseph married the widow Sophia Swager, at Barron, Wi. This was her second marriage. Her first was April 4, 1875, John Swager at Camden, Hillsdale Co., Mich. He died Feb. 17, 1894, in Beaver Twp., Polk Co, Wis., and was buried there in Mt. Hope Cemetery, near Turtle Lake.

Mr. Blied was a member of the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church of Sun Prairie and the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his sister, Helen Blied of Madison; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, Sun Prairie, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22. Burial in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Friends may call from after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at the Tuschen Funeral Home, Sun Prairie where a Scriptural Service will be held at 8 p.m.

Funeral services for William G. Bockman, 86, of Estherville will be at 2 p.m. on
Thursday, Nov 3, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor
Glenn S. Bohmer, officiating. Interment will follow at Estherville Lutheran
Cemetry in Estherville with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3388 and
American Legion Post 91 of Estherville. He departed this life on Oct 30, 2005,
at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral
Chapel in Estherville.

William Gerhart 'Bill' Bockman, the son of William George Bockman and Martha
Elizabeth Husman was born August 3, 1919, at Faith, S.D.
Bill's family homesteaded in western South Dakota until he was a young man.
During World War II he served with the United States Army in the Pacific
Theater. He was united in marriage to Inez Munson on July 16, 1950, in
Petersburg, Minn. The couple lived for a short time in North Dakota before
moving to the Terril and Estherville area where they farmed for many years and
raised a faimly of four sons. Inez died February 25, 1987. Bill married Helen
'Betty' Olson in 1988 and they lived in Minnesota for around 10 years until her
death in 2004. Bill then returned to Estherville he was living at the time of
his death.

Bill was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville and a former
member of Estherville Lutheran Church. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanical
things, flying, raising cattle and farming.

Bill is survived by four sons; Edward Bockman, his wife, Linda of Ashburn,
VA., Richard Bockman, his wife, Gail of Terril, Gary Bockman his wife, Randi of
Eagan, MN, Robert John Bockman of Spirit Lake, one sister and two brothers, two
sisters-law, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
wife Inez, is wife Betty; his parents; infant twins and a brother Art and his
wife, Shirley Bockman.

Burial3 November 2005He was buried on 3 November 2005 at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery in Estherville, Emmet, Iowa, United States.1,3
