     Frederick was born on 25 September 1880 at Knox County, Illinois, USA. He was the son of James McClymont and Isabella McDowell. Frederick died 9 June 1955 at Holdrege, Phelps County, Nebraska, USA, at age 74.

     Isabella was born on 20 December 1788 at Kirkinner Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of John Belaird McClymont (McClement) and Margaret Minnoch. She married James Cumming in 1819 at Kirkinner Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland. Isabella died 25 March 1881 at Port William, Mochrum Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland, at age 92. The Death Registration states that Isabella was the widow of James Cumming, farmer. That she was 83 years old and that her parents were John McClymont, farmer (deceased) and Margaret Minnoch (deceased). The cause of death was unknown. The informant was Margaret Wallace, her daughter.¹ She was buried in March 1881 at in Sorbie Kirkyard, Sorbie Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland;
