A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. July 14 at the Mining Museum Park, Grass Valley, for Grace Lydia Uran. Mrs. Uran, of Nevada City, passed away June 29, in Grass Valley. She was 92.

Mrs. Uran was born May 24, 1915 to Walter Kenney and Caroline Roth in Sedgwick, Colo. She received a high school diploma and in April 15, 1942, married William Uran in Las Vegas, Nev.

Mrs. Uran was a homemaker who enjoyed ceramics, plants, sewing, square dancing and animals. She was a member of the Penmar Eights Square Dancing Club, in Santa Monica, and the Bowman-Solinsky Warm Water Pool.

Mrs. Uran is survived by her daughter, Donna Uran, of Nevada City; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Larry Gipson, of San Leandro; granddaughter, Sheasa Kenny, of Nevada City; sister, Florence Peet, of San Diego; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Mary Kenny, of Cheyenne, Wyo; great-grandchildren, Dublin and Lavender O'Sullivan, of Nevada City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Uran, in 1999.

Mrs. Uran's ashes will be spread in San Francisco Bay at a later date.
