She also worked as a bookkeeper for Vincent & Vincent (later known as Gerber Brothers Ford) in Winter and then for the Sawyer County Gazette as a bookkeeper, reporter, typist, and proofreader for 39 years before retiring.

She was a golden member of the Royal Neighbors of America and was a proud member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Tribe.

Rose loved to travel with her friends and kept scrapbooks of her trips to Rome, Nova Scotia, the Smokies, California, and the East Coast. She had many hobbies, including coin collecting, spoon collecting, gardening, playing cards, and going to the casino.

Rose is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; two sisters-in-law, Rose and Helen; her life-long friend, Loretta Reda, of Ojibwa; and her friend of many years, Doris Hoffman, of Winter.
